Kia ora Mahuta! How are you doing? The weather's much better today! I hope it stays nice and warm, particularly in Northland as I'm going up there this evening!
Thank you for another fantastic blog post! I really enjoyed readin gabout a role model who was important to you. I feel like I got to know a little bit better! At University last year, we studied Māori worldview and the importance of atua (Gods) and tupuna. I especially enjoyed learning about Tangaroa, atua of the moana (ocean) and ika (fish).
My understanding of Māori culture is a lot stronger after hearing the ancestral stories and being informed of tikanga. I really appreciate you sharing how special your culture is to you, and acknowledging the significant people in your family history.
Ka pai on all your hard work and I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
